A ride not registred is a ride not completed...What is more fun than strolling or hiking around the globe and afterwards knowing where you've been.
Mytracks shows you where you've been, how long you've been there, and what you were doing. You can be your own big brother. Ain't that fun.
MyTracks is a website where you can manage, display and analyze the tracks you have cycled, walked or otherwise. Tracks are the logfiles of a GPS device. That track file can be uploaded to this site.
You will then receive all kinds of information about your trip, such as a height profile, with slope gradients, speed, and climbing speed. The tracks are also shown in Google Maps, and you can even transfer the track to Google Earth. MyTracks can convert your tracks into routes, and calculate the power and energy used during an outing.
Mytracks is also easy to use.
Once you've logged in, you can upload your GPX files or several other types, such as HRM and TCX, and immediately see your results.
Your tracks are stored behind your own password, so over time you will build up a nice archive. Everything is clearly displayed.
This site is constantly evolving.
Possibilities at this moment:
- Profile of the ride (height versus distance).
- Percentages Slope.
-
Speed as a function of the distance.
- Height as a function of time.
- Speed as a function of time.
- Climb as a function of time.
- Google Maps to track, cols, slope gradients, km-posts and waypoints.
- KML for Google Earth service.
- Upload the Garmin GPX, HRM and TCX files.
- Track to Route converter
- Col-index. This is an index that reflects the difficulty of the ride. Col-index is defined by the Dutch magazine 'Fiets'.
- Power Chart. At any time of the trip you can see how much power you generated. (This feature is currently only available for bike rides). Overall energy (kCal) and average power (Watts).
- See where you made your stops, with the location and duration of the stops shown in Google Maps.
- Let your friends see your tracks. So you can share tracks with your regular cycling club, or with friends and family. Add the HRM uploading files and other formats.
- Combine a number of tracks to a group. This allows your vacation trips to be simultaneously shown on Google Maps.
Do you have wishes of your own or ideas? Please let me
know through this form.
