| Logging setting on your GPS device |
|
Your GPS device has a lots of settings. Even using the manual is a hard puzzle to the make the correct settings. Mytracks.me it is, of course, necessary to set the log function to 'on'. This feature allows you to review te track later. In many GPS devices it is possible to log in three ways:
- Regularly, eg every second. This gives a very precisely defined track. This mode gives many track points which can cause that charts on mytracks.me are unreadable, the track is not shown in google maps, or an error is generated. This mode is not recommended for mytracks.me.
- At certain intervals, eg every 30 meters. This mode gives an inaccurate logging of the track, and for instance, ignores stop. This mode is not recommended anyway.
- Automatic (sometimes called "smart"). This mode gives you enough points for an accurate track. Mytracks.me for this mode is recommended.
Perhaps some devices may not know all the possibilities, or perhaps more opportunities.
